Custom Akebono calipers for my buddies sedan

Just got this custom set of calipers done for one of my buddies with a black G37 sedan. Color is Lamborghini Gallardo Giallo Midas tricoat yellow pearl. With Diamond gold, white, and green pearls in the clearcoat overtop!

Thoughts?

Very nicely done. It's these details that make a car really stand out.

JPS, when do you sleep?
Another killer job, you need your own sub forum on this site w/ all your work on display.
You really could quit your day job and just do all this accessory work to pay the bills, I know this site alone they would be lining up

Make sure you have the oem coating sandblasted off to ensure great adhesion of your new coating!

I don't think I would be doing this myself at this point... one of the mods I don't think I could get done myself.

Damn, JPSBLACKG37... I wish you were closer than 6 hours away. I'd love to have my BBK custom painted by someone with your skills and experience with the Akebono brakes. Very well done, man.

The paint combinations you're playing with here are amazing.

The akebono decal is too wide for the rear calipers. At the very least, you should have trimmed a 16th off each end of the underline element. Or better yet, done away with that underline entirely. I know it's part of the manufacturer logo, but no one has a gun to your head that the underline has to be used. If it were me, I think I'd go with the INFINITI branding instead.

You know I love your macro shots, but the ones that showcase the depth of clear coat over the decals... something not quite right about that. There's an overly embossed look to it... but really, only as a macro shot. In the real world where your eyeballs are never actually 1" from the calipers, they will look 100% awesome.
