Brake pads -Do they have metal scraper like others?
All brake pads I have ever seen have a little piece of metal hanging over the edge that starts raising hell (screeching) when the pad gets too low to tell you that you need to change it.
Can someone please confirm that G37 pads have that - and that they haven't stopped putting those on pads.
Thanks!

That's what I thought. I am being told by the dealer that I have 2mm on my pads but I don't hear any squeaking. That does not seem possible because of the wear indicator. It is metal on metal - you will hear it....
Doesn't sound right to me...

Check them yourself. It's very easy to remove these pads with minimal skills or tools. Also, the wear indicator can be bent fairly easily. If it's bent back only a couple mm, it wouldn't make any noise even if you pads were worn completely out.
