Last year, I bought a new set of Akebono Premium pads before an HPDE event at Watkins Glen. After the event, the rear pads were down to nothing, and the fronts had 25-30% life left. I used Motul 660 brake fluid, which was probably overkill, but it was only a few dollars more than 600.

I'm prepping for doing the same event this year (2 days, 3 30 minute sessions per day).

Most of the track pads I've seen are only available in larger sizes for the sport model cars. Are there any track pads made for the smaller rotors on the X Coupe? Should I get them for the one event, or should I stick with the Akebono Pads and the knowledge that I'll burn through a new set in two days?

 

Bumping this before I order new pads, but at this point, I'm leaning towards just getting another set of Akebono pads like i have so i don't need to worry about bedding different composition pads.
