What's needed to lower G37?

What's needed to lower a 2008 G37 coupe? I know the springs but is that all? Do the wheel wells need altering and do I need shocks as well? I want to lower my car about 1.5-2 inches so any helpful info would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you have stock wheels you want to run front and rear spacers.I would lower it with coilovers. Then you can adjust the height the way you want it.Just my 2 cents.

A mild spring drop is the most economical, but anything lower than 1.5" and your stock camber arms and rear toe adjustment bolts should be replaced w/ new arms/bolts that will get your camber and rear toe in spec. The arms/bolts will add about $500 + install. Coilovers is the way to go if you want more flexibility and a better overall ride, and again if you drop more than 1.5" on coilovers you'll need the arms/toe bolts. Like Lake mentioned, when you drop your car the wheels tuck inward as you lower it so the wheels will be sunken further in the fenderwells, spacers will bring your wheels outward to give a better look. If you don't slam your G you won't have to worry about rubbing under the fenders. If you drop it 2" or more and space your wheels (or get wheels that have offsets that make them near flush to the fender lips) then rubbing the under liner or fender brackets will be an issue. Also keep in mind when you drop 2" or more a lot more obstacles below your car become a hazard~speed bumps, dreaded "speed humps", steep drives, snow, road kill, etc. Be prepared for your plastic underpan to become shreaded, your braided metal Y-pipe connector to become even more "braided", and the underside of your exhaust tips to meet cement now & then.
