Best pads for street with slightly better bite than oem?

Hey guys, I'm looking for new pads front and rear, I'm also going to replace my rotors with a set of adamsrotors and I wanted to get some new pads. I've seen many pads floating around the forums but I wanted to know which ones are right for me:

I DO NOT track my car
It's a daily driver
08 G37 sport coupe
I'm sitting on 20" wheels and swift springs

I want a set of pads that will give me a better bite than OEM, low dust and low noise

Best pads to go with?

Thanks in advance

If you never plan on tracking or going for the occasional AutoX, go with the Hawk Ceramic Pads.

If you want occasional tracking go with the Hawk HPS. Here's their description off their site:

Hawk Ceramic
Hawk Performance Ceramic brake pads were developed for those enthusiasts who want to improve stopping power without the annoying side effects sometimes associated with more aggressive pads. Hawk Performance Ceramic pads are engineered with a linear friction profile for maximum performance while reducing NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) for a smoother ride and ultra-low brake dust accumulation. In addition, you can expect Hawk ceramic brake pads to provide increased pad and rotor life and a more responsive ABS braking system. Hawk Performance Ceramic pads are intended for street use only.
Hawk HPS
Hawk HPS (High Performance Street) pads offer a tremendous improvement in braking distance over the G37 OEM pads. Hawk's unique Ferro-Carbon formula was developed for street performance using the safety and quality of Aerospace and Motorsports severe-duty friction technology. The HPS compound offers a high coefficient of friction and can provide you 20-40% more stopping power and improved resistance to fading over OEM replacement pads. HPS's Ferro-Carbon compound provides your Infiniti with increased stopping power, long-life, less dust and reduced noise compared to other after market performance brake pads. All Hawk Performance products provide a limited lifetime warranty, ensuring products to be free of defects from manufacturer's workmanship and materials. Hawk HPS pads are designed primarily for a daily driven G37 but will hold up under light autocross duty as well.

Good information, just to follow up on what G37Sam said about HPS with track use and AutoX.

Been there done that, they can't take the heat that the track and some autox courses deliver. They will melt and become solid and create craters in your rotors like you've never seen before.

The Hawk Ceramics are good pads they just don't bite like you want them to, low dust yes, low noise yes.

The HPS is the pad that I would go with, they may produce some dust but the dust will go away with a splash of water, it's not an aggresive dust. and they will bite when you want them to, much more bite than the Ceramics.

There was a thread on here a while back about the stoptech performance street pads. Several owners who used them were quite happy about the performance for daily driving....

Yes, stoptechs are also a very good alternative for daily driving, they will offer a little bit better of a bite than the HPS, but they will dust a bit more as well.

I have the HPS in my setup. They dust a bit, but it's really not a big deal. Cold they're not awesome, but the better they heat up, the more awesome the bite is. I haven't had any "temperature" problems, then again I haven't tracked my car....yet. I do a bit of spirited driving and respond well.

Now...with that said....I was cut off at highway speed the other day by someone who didn't want to wait in traffic. What he didn't see was the truck that was in front of me. He had to slam on his brakes, which caused me to slam on mine. I honestly believe that if i hadnt replaced my stock pads early with HPS pads I would have wrecked the car. Hardest braking I have ever done with this car, and they didn't even blink an eye.

In my honest opinion, pads are not something to skimp on because of a little dust.

Mattster raises a very good point that is sometimes hard to get across to some customers, it is a lot easier to clean your wheels than it is to deal with an insurance company.

I just ordered the stoptech performance street pads and the ate blue brake fluid. First brake change, so I am assuming my rotors can be machined.

You will be happy with the stoptech pads, it may be your first brake change but always double check the minimum thickness that is stamped onto the edge of the rotor.

If you do end up needing the rotors, we have rotors for the G37S on clearance

Thanks, man, but if I need new rotors at 30k miles... I'll be a little pissed if Infiniti doesn't cover that under warranty.

They had issues with their brakes in 2004 wearing out too fast and changed my brakes twice under warranty. They were able to machine those smaller rotors once, I don't see why the BBK rotors would be too thin by 30k. Keeping my fingers crossed.
