Which settings did you end up going with?
Hi, Ash. (Wow, that was quick!)

Soft in the front (outside hole of the two), middle in the rear (of the three).

Whether or not I get two new PSS for the front this year depends entirely on how quickly these OEM Bridgestones wear out. If they hang on, that's cool. If not, then certainly next Spring. And in the meanwhile, I'm no longer fearing the added understeer that I was worried about. If anything, it's vastly reduced, all things considered; which has pleasantly surprised me.

But you're right, things would be better still with matching tread all the way around.

100% agree with the review. The wife liked driving my car BEFORE I installed the sways. She like to power slide aroud a certain corner on her way to work, now with the sways, it just sits and grips all the way through. She says it not "fun" anymore since the back end just wants to grip and it doesn't do the "wooo" as she puts it. I have had them on for about 2 years now and you will get use to feeling rough roads. I think it is one of the best mods you can do. I do not have a strut bar but went with wider tires fron and rear. (09 coupe "S")

"Wooo!", LOL at the wifey. That's awesome, man.

Already having a RWD-Sport 6MT, I was expecting to know something was going on here, but certainly not an improvement as significant as this. Color me happy indeed.

I took a break just now and went for a little ride. There's a 180* on-ramp nearby, and then a half mile of highway to an off-ramp that's almost a full 360*. I ran that loop once, then repeated it all over again. By the second time around, I was pushing it so hard that I was sure the front end would start to plow, but it didn't. And when it got to where it normally should have started understeering, instead it felt like the entire car was edging outward, both the front and rear end, so that I could control it by steering, rather than backing off. I swear there was the feeling (illusion?) of total control, at whatever speed I could throw at these ramps. What a rush!

Now, I'm not unrealistic, and I'm not a kid who just learned how to drive. I'm sure I could force the car to slip, but traffic and common sense are keeping me somewhat moderated.

Still... need to catch my breath a little.

So. Much. Win.

Rochester, you must have more exciting roads by you. My initial impression wasn't that ecstatic. I did notice improvement in on/off ramps. Other than that, chicago is all grid with too many slow drivers (who come to a complete stop at the end of a cloverleaf off ramp (you know, the area where cars MERGE, NOT STOP).

If I lived in Chicago, I'm fairly sure I wouldn't own a 6MT. But Rochester, NY is a medium-size city, with only about 200k residents in the city, and 750k in the surrounding County. I live in a suburb that borders the city. Plus, it was early afternoon on a Tuesday. Except for morning & evening rush hour, there's never any problem finding room to run, so to speak.

And yes, I'm clearly very excited.

still can't confirm if RWD S bars are different from RWD bars. yours look exactly like mine when I took them off.

Maybe jsolo or ashmostro can answer this better with the exact difference in thickness... but yes, stiffer OEM sways are part of the RWD-only Sport Package.

Rochester can you tell me what sway bars you purchased and where you got them? Looking to turn '09 G37X 7AT into more of a sports car and feel the feedback from the road. I dont want to turn this thread into a how to for newbies but I just bought the vehicle and looking to implement worthwhile mods to create a tighter, sports car feel to enjoy the daily commute. Any suggestions where to start would be appreciated.

BTW, what ramps and such are you talking about in Rochester? I work in Greece and love a good thrill during lunch time!

AFAIK, sways are different design for the AWD. You'll have to research that one on your own, boss.

Haha, wow. Well, I live in Irondequoit, so if you get on to 590 North from Empire Blvd, that's a sharp, uphill, almost circular ramp with a quick merge. Go down the highway to the next exit and get off at Norton, which is almost a 360 off-ramp. The 590 South on-ramp from Empire Blvd is a nice S-shape.

It's my neighborhood, so it's what I know best. There are all kinds of circular ramps in the area, though.
