'12 G37XS sedan no Akebono BBK?

On Infiniti's official and other review sites, in the photos I can clearly see the Akebono BBK. Mine doesn't come with it? Why?

Because you are not a sport coupe. Do like me and just buy them and put them on, they're worth it

The picture above is a sedan that has them, is it false advertisement? Worth to get in touch with Infiniti to get a free kit?

Btw, which kit did you get?

Actually - the Infiniti web site does not state that the AWD comes with the BBK. They only come with the Sport Pkg on the RWD Journey and on the 6MT Sport. (at least this is true for the sedan).

Good Luck - and the 'regular' brakes aren't bad at all...

If you go on the website and look at the packages for the G37X sedan, the sport package does not include a BBK like the coupe sport package does.

Yes - the picture of the non-X sedan does have the BBK.

That's your answer.

OP, whether or not your G has a BBK isn't something you cared enough about to research before buying the car. And it isn't something you cared enough about to notice when you took delivery. So here's some good advice on how to deal with the lack of these truly awesome brakes: continue not caring.

While you're at it, you can not care that your G37xS doesn't actually have a sport suspension... like the 6MT or RWD Journey w/Sport.

But you're digging those Sport Seats, and our ugly 18" rims, so you got that going for you with your "S" badge.

So if there's no sport suspension and no BBK with the xS, why buy the sport package? For the seats and paddle shifters?

Seems a bit of a waste IMHO.

Lacking suspension makes it easier to modify...

You get the tighter steering and the sport front bumper too. I have the xS sedan and love it. Coilovers and the Akebono kit in the eventual future.

Forgot about the steering. Good point.

Be interesting to drive the S and the non-S side by side to compare that claim on sport steering. I believe it, but I just don't know first-hand what the difference is. Maybe next time I get a loaner it will be obvious.

You sure about the steering gear? Infiniti web site makes no mention of the sport-tuned 14.7 ratio steering for the AWD Sport Pkg...

Below is directly from their site:

Sport Package (AWD)
18 x 7.5-inch, split 5-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels with 225/50R18 V-rated all-season performance tires
Sport front fascia, side sills and unique sport headlights
Solid magnesium paddle shifters
12-way power driver's sport seat, including manual thigh extension and driver's power torso and thigh side support adjustments; 8-way power front-passenger's sport seat with manual thigh extension
Aluminum pedals and footrest

the performance-oriented items like the springs, shocks, sways bars, brakes, steering, and rear VLSD diff are different between the S and XS. the S gets revised versions of all of the above as well as the sport appearance cosmetic stuff. only the cosmetic stuff (seats, bodywork, etc) transfers to the XS. all show, no go for the XS. except in the snow where the X comes in handy i'm sure!
