Camber Kit Needed For H&R Springs?

Hey guys I was wondering if a camber kit is needed for H&R springs? I will also be doing 20mm spacers in the front and 15mm spacers in the rear. Also thinking about doing 245s/275s tires. If a camber kit is needed then I will not go with H&R. Thanks for the input guys!

Thanks for the input man! So I will be running negative camber with these springs? I don't want my tires to wear out fast so I'm looking for a spring that doesn't need a camber kit but still has a pretty good drop.

Camber Kits

Johncy,

Here are my specs (before and after). I am dropped on H&R and felt to conserve tire wear both front and rear camber kits were required. Just as Casey stated, it's not a must, but is recommended.

Thanks for the info Domate! I will refer to this once I get the H&Rs. What is the best camber kit available?

Johncy,

"Best" is a relative term dependent upon who you ask and when. I went with SPC just because of their proven track record and recommendations from members here.

Do you really think a camber kit is necessary? I mean I can see but not really that far out of specs. I had one or two of my measurements barely out and my alignment guy said he wouldn't even fool with it.

I think a camber kit is necessary particularly for the front. Even with my Tanabe I could see that my camber was off and with the kit, the steering feel was better than without.

H&R requires camber kit at front. If you don't get it your front tires will go bald in no time.

Please buy a set of camber kit, I have it on my car with H&R springs...its better to spend 500-700 on camber kit rather than +1000 on tires.

I agree, even on Eibach's I'm struggling to keep everything in spec.

for H&R, which is what I'm running, I'd suggest both front and rear camber kits. I was going throw front tires very often. However, I also just had a SPC front camber kit snap in half (upper control arm) about 4 days ago. didn't hit anything, just broke. I began a thread about it and it appears that quite of few folks have had or have heard of a similar experience.

I mention it, not to bad mouth SPC, but for you to be aware, as it could be extremely dangerous if it was to break while you were driving at a higher speed.
