Hotchkis sway bar grease?

Does anyone know what brand of grease they include with their sway bar set? It's a white grease that's super tacky and waterproof (according to them).

I'd like to try and buy some locally if possible.

Thanks!

It's not branded but it is silicone grease. I had a hard time finding any. Then I found a 3 oz. mini tube at Harbor Freight and bought it along with a mini grease gun. Worked perfectly.

Was that as good as the hotchkis supplied grease?

I haven't been able to find anything like it, and was using an Amsoil grease but am having to re-grease too often (bushings make noise when the grease dries up).

*Edit* Found this larger tube (standard size cartridge) on amazon:

It seems to be working very well so far. It has the same consistency and appearance of the grease that came with the part sin the little tube. What you linked to is indeed the same thing in a full sized tube. I just got the mini one because it is cheap, I don't use a grease gun often, and it has a grease zerk fitting.

I found a grease that came in a tub called "Sil-Glyde". It is a silicone grease apparently used to lubricate brake components.

It seems to work fine although I can still hear some swaybar noise when the temperature drops.

I had looked at that SuperLube but couldn't find any locally. For some reason I though it had a lithium base but I might be mis-remembering. I think that lithium based greases were not appropriate for the poly bushings.

It's not lithium based.

i'm pretty sure you can get silicone based grease exactly like the one that came with the sways at any autozone, advance, or others.

i personally found it at autozone.

The Amsoil one I bought was no where near as tacky, and didn't appear to be as resistant to water.

In one of these threads, it was mentioned that it's similar to grease used on boats.. So any marine shop should carry it too.

Since that linked stuff comes in a squeeze tube, how did you get it into a useable form with the mini grease gun? Must not be thinking deeply enough LOL

I simply removed the cap and squeezed it all into the grease gun.

I bought a full size tube of their grease from Hotchkis. They offered it on their website and although it was pretty expensive, $26., I bought a grease gun just for the grease and figure the tube will last me for a very long time. Every other time the car is on the rack for a oil/filter change I give the Zerk Fittings on the sway bar bushings a shot of the grease and it seems to keep them quiet. For me it's money well spent.

I realize this thread has been dead for over a year, but I just stumbled onto it while searching for grease guns...

Is there a reason you guys didn't just buy the Hotchkis Super Grease? Was it not available at the time this thread was created or is there some reason for looking elsewhere? Price maybe? I'd imagine it's the same grease included with the sway bars since it is from the same company...

It's mentioned in post 12. I paid about $15 for the grease and a grease gun locally instead of buying just the grease for $27 online.
