Tein Coilover damping adjustment questions.

I have Tein Coil-overs and have never adjusted the damping. I want to make the damping stiffer to try and keep my tires from rubbing my fenders on big dips.

How do I access the rear adjustment ****? Do the wheels need to be off? Do I need a special tool to adjust the *** or can it be done by hand?

Which direction, clockwise or counter-clockwise to stiffen?

What is the percentage of stiffness added per click on the adjustment ***?

Thanks!

There should be a adjustment **** on the upper side of the shock body. You would need to jack up the car in order to reach it however you should use a jack stand just to be safe.

Have you trimmed your fender liner and bumper bracket yet?

---> at the above comments....

there should be an adjustment **** like weiboy said... turn it clockwise to stiffen... the stiffness per click depends on which coils you have actually... you got the Flex or SSP...?
i can feel the difference changing by 1 click... specially at 2 clicks... others might think different... im a suspension guy, so i can feel the slight change...

I have not trimmed the fender liner or bumper bracket. I was hoping I would not have to do that. I will have the car up on a lift on Saturday to replace the tires, so I was planning to make the adjustment's then.

I have not been under the car since I bought it to see if the coilovers are the Flex or SSP's. I will try 2 clicks since I feel the suspension is pretty soft compared to my last car.

I hope to find out Saturday when I have them off the car for the first time since buying the car. All I know is they are 20" in diameter and they are Axis Angle wheels. I suspect the rear wheels are 20"x10".

Nope. I've done my part. I can bring the information to the masses, I can't make them read it. At least OP corrected himself except for the title that he can't edit. So maybe it's a win and he'll know better from now on.

And I see everything. Everything.

Sorry for the mistake. I too have my annoyances. Such as people that use the non-word "Irregardless". That one really gets under my skin.

So if they are the Flex, will one click clockwise be more or less stiff than if my coilovers are SSP's?

The Tein Flex Coils are stiffer... so more stiffer to answer your question...
