Brakes squeal when I reverse?

Anyone have this issue? I only hear the squealing when I reverse, never heard it while going forward and braking (even at low speeds).

Yep...there was a thread last month about it. I think it has to do with the fact their cold. Mine do it only reversing out of the driveway, butwhentheywarm up they're fine.

Hmm, warmest temp here lately was around 50 and they squealed then, so I guess I'd have to wait till the spring to confirm this. I'll just try reversing after a long trip I have on Monday and see if they squeal.

It's a normal thing for Infiniti/Nissans, especially if you have BBK. For me it usually squeaks in the morning when the brakes are cold, but after it warms up it's fine. I recently changed my pads, and before it would squeak every time i reverse whether it was cold or warm. But with a new set of pads now, it only squeaks when they're cold.

Welcome to one of the few pain in the "you know what" for our cars. My coupe had this problem on the '08 and was fixed after the TBS. My '11 is a bigger pain though. The TBS didn't fix it. I got my brakes cleaned during every oil change and it helps alleviate the squeal for a week or so. Then it goes right back to squealing when braking in reverse. Like the others above me have stated, it mainly happens in the morning. Although recently, I've been hearing it once in awhile when I brake coming to a red light.
I've gone so many times to the dealership for this issue that I got a note from Infiniti stating that issue is being looked at but currently if the TSB doesn't help, then there is nothing they can do.
Really makes me think if I even do decide to get a G again, to maybe step up to the S model b/c I really don't want to go through this issue again.

Knowing I'm not the only one makes me feel a LOT better about it.
