Ken,

Where did you get these from and how much were they?

I have the same problem and want to replace my pads out when I get my slotted/drilled rotors.

ok, to be honest, i didn't read the last 5 pages of this thread....

but i had the same problem with my 08 S last year.....when i first bought the car it never squeeked, then one day it just decided it wanted to squeek so i brought it to Infiniti and i told them that my brakes are hella annoying, and i wanted the squeek to go away.....well they warrantied it and said there was a recall on the rotors or something...

they ended up changing my pads, rotors, and the service advisor said the tech added some sort of reinforcement to the dust pan (?) and voila...no more squeeking! haven't heard a squeek from my brakes in over a year now....

I do some weekend part time at a car repair shop so I got mines for the special purchase cost for direct buyers.

The part number is Akebono ACT1346 (Front pads).

I realized this was happening to me too and i think its due to my brake pads wearing out.

Oh boy. I have the same problem. So I'm glad we're in the same boat. Thinking about upgrading the entire break system though... Will that make it not squeak? It's so embarrassing........

This weekend I was able to get around to working on my brakes. I found out that my squealing was coming from the front brakes only so I took pulled the pads out, took apart the metal spacers and cleaned all the old lubricant off. I then went to AutoZone and bought a couple of packages of SIL-GLIDE Brake Lubricant and liberally and re-greased between the pad and metal spacer. No more squealing!!

I was going to order the Akebono front brake pads that Ken posted a picture of but wanted to try this first. Hope this helps you all too...

That ony works for a couple months. Bes thing to do is get slotted rotors and some good ceramic pads and that takes care of the squeaking.DOMO

'12 xS here. Squealing in reverse when I'm NOT braking, only at rolling speed, in any temperature. Rotors are slightly rusty, pads have 6mm left. The issue popped up one day after heavy rains.
Any ideas? Its weird that it happens only when I am NOT braking, ans only in reverse. It almial sounds lopsided, sound gets worse at a particular part as the wheels rotate. Used to go away after a bit of reverse, but it's happening all the time now.

Find a deserted stretch of road on which you can attain 60 mph. Reach 60 then hit the brakes hard, Repeat five times. Report back.
