E-brake....

So took my car out yesterday to an empty lot to just mess around with it and what not.

Decided i was gunna try to slide it around a bit, but upon trying riping the E brake to bring the back out the car just slowed down and stopped. Now my question is, are our ebrake set ups made to not be engaged completly while driving?
I know the 370z you can rip while driving to get the back end out, so i figured ours would do the same... Any insight?

Not sure the answer to your question, but are you sure your E brake didn't freeze up and stay engaged?
