My current set up is 20" Vossen CV3's dropped about 2" with F&R SPC camber kit. The ride is obviously much stiffer than the sport suspemsion on the G35, but still has forgiveness with small to medium type bumps. it takes cornering well but still has minor body roll with the G being a heavier car. I will eventually get strut and sway bars to tighten her up.

I would recommend the V1's to anyone who wants to DD their G (but isn't looking for track use) and have the occassinal ride on twisties to get the most out of their G without sacrificing comfort. I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase and see why KW has such a reputable brand
Good review Dan

I've done some research on google and everyone running V1s on other vehicles ranging from Bimmers to Subies to Mercedes and Mazdas all love them. I've not been able to find any negative reviews on them concerning performance. Everyone loves the V3's here. I can only assume the V1's are made with the same level of quality that the V3's are.

Thanks for the couple of reviews guys! If I go with V1s (which I am strongly considering) I will post of the first "official" review for the G37. haha!

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I've been searching and all these discussions took place before I joined... So why did you ultimately go with the Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC? It looked like you were ready to purchase the KWv1. I am currently undecided between the two and I was wondering what your thoughts were at the time. Tanabe seems like a good bang-for-the-buck DD coilover, but is the KW more reliable and worth the extra cost? Would you go with KWv1 today? Thanks.

See my PM. I basically got them because they were available (KW V1s were on back order at the time for ~ 2 months) and they were about $300 cheaper too. The guy told me that for a DD with height adjustable only, that the Tanabes would be just as good as the KWs, so I took them. I have not been disappointed since. Not harsh at all and VERY smooth.

Thanks for responding. I was about to pull the trigger on the Tanabes but now I'm leaning toward the KWv1. The reputation of the company and quality of their product seems to be unparalleled. They may cost a little more, but I think they'll serve me better in the long run.

Not yet. I'll probably order them in about a month or so. They should be installed by the end of July. I'll post an update then.

Just a Side Note on another Brand... I pulled the Plug on Stance SS's been on just about a Month and talk about a ride! Like riding a Coaster! Stiff Firm yet comfortable though my dampener is set at 10 all around.. still a nice flow ride for my DD. Price Fair ... got it from one of the vendors here...
The SS's are top notch yet too "True Coilovers" like the KV's Great Reputation and the service from the vendors Fantastic!

Just seen this and wanted to give my. 02¢………

Good luck post pics...

You can see my G on Vossens post up thred...
25 1/2 front 25 3/4 rear ground to fender and can go even lower... lol

I run KWv1 on my 09 Coupe. GREAT ride, and great performance. Feels MUCH better that stock with no finger gap drop. Couldnt ask for better quality and feel from a coilover setup!

Mind if I ask how much you guys paid for your V1's? I'm in the hunt for them and I'd like to get the best deal possible.

I ran KW V3's...and have a buddy that runs KW V1's.... Love them both. Very comfortable ride. Only difference is what you're going to use them for. V3's have dampening adjustments for track use to stiffen if wanting to.

I paid $1350 shipped from THmotorsport, they are a vendor here on the forum. The price could be different now though, my set was purchased a few months back.
