Anyone tried these? NAPA carries these, but doesn't have a specific listing for the G37S. I'd like to try them on my G37S sedan on the fronts...anyone know what size the caliper pistons are?

Looks cool, but i doubt it is going to actually do anything noticable.

Just says it reduces noise, but honestly I don't have a noise problem with my brakes anyway.

Yeah...I have brake noise when I back up, so was wondering if these would help. Plenty of pad left, I just think it's something with the design of the shims.

OK- so how much do you back up? Is the noise THAT bad?

Might want to think twice before adding another component to your brake system...

Usually when doing brakes you are suppose to put grease between the piston and the pad to reduce vibration noise. Maybe your brakes need grease.

Yeah..they DO sound horrible when I back up. Very loud, and I still have plenty of pad left. It's embarrassing to have a car that lists for over $40K make that sort of noise when backing up, then have the dealer say "it's normal, they're high performance brakes" when you take it in to fix it.

It is not grease. Any grease in or around the brake system is a bad thing if it is to sling onto the rotor or pads. It's a specific rubber like compound that is made for brake pad applications.

I usually use this,
CRC 05016 High Temp FILM, Water Resistant, 4 oz

or this,
CRC 05017 High Temp FILM, Water Resistant, 12 oz

CRC does make good stuff all around. I may try it or these new piston cushions if I can find the right size. Looks to be promising...was featured on Motorweek as a great product. The guys at NAPA don't have it cross referenced in their system yet, so I'll call the tech line and post the numbers if I can get them.

I called the manufacturer, and they don't cross match these to any specific car. They sell them in sets so that dealers can have a variety for the various cars they service. NAPA sells them individually, but you'd have to match them up on your own.
