2011 BC BR coilover install g37s
did a search an still didn't find what i was looking for, so here's my version.
only had the time to do the front today.
front sockets/wrenches needed,
10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 19mm, and 17mm if u decide to loosen the front sway bar bolt.
measure ur stock or before heights for reference. my sedan stock is:
measuring from fender to ground goin along the center of the hub,
front left- 28 3/8 front right- 28 1/2
rear left- 27 7/8 rear right-27 3/4
jack up on stands remove wheels.
remove brake line(12mm) an abs wire from strut(rubber grommet slip out).
remove the lower strut assembly. 3ea 14mm, 1ea 19mm. turning wheel and loosening the front sway bar will ease removal.
after lower assembly is loose an hanging free from the 19mm bolt, remove the upper strut assembly. 3ea 12mm nuts located in the engine bay under the hood.
set ur heights on ur coilovers an install in reverse order. (don't forget to reinstall the abs wire and tighten brake line an collar bracket) i forgot couple times an had to jack it back up.
the first height i tried was 3.300'' between adjuster nuts. the instructions tell u where to measure an which nut to adjust for height changes. (its the single nut on the bottom)
after tightening everything back up i got this.
after doing all the math i came out wit 3 1/8 drop on both sides. with a fender to ground measurment of 25 1/4 left and 25 3/8 right.
re-adjustment: remove wheel, loosen the single nut, rotate with the upper 2 locking nuts rotating the whole upper assembly(using upper or lower nut depending on which direction ur going), an loosen the brake line/abs wire collar cause u will be rotating the whole upper assembly.
so i re-adjusted to 4.300''/4 5/16'' left and 4.125''/4 1/8'' right. (dial caliper/tape rule)
now this is where i like my height to be for now.
measurments at ground to fender: 26 3/4 both left an right. with 1 5/8 left, 1 3/4 right drop from stock.
total time 5hrs for the front, 2hrs for the rear. (yes i finished it an now its 1am) i'll finish writing up the rear tomorrow.
rear soon to come.

spring settling usually takes about a week, at bare minimum. i noticed that mine settled (albeit springs alone) a bit more after i got an alignment (1 week later); noticed the springs had settled more 3 days later after the alignment. i'd give it a week and a half prior to getting an alignment. your wheels will be fine! your drop looks minimum (albeit much better than stock height). are you sure you wanna throw those front cambers on? you'll probably still be within spec, all around! i certainly was (1.5 in the front and 1 inch in the back - dropped height). have fun!
