But yeah, on the TL I got 18 inches wheels at 18 lbs each (from 27 lbs) the difference was huge!

LW FTW!
hmm I had an obsession with reducing weight as well, especially rotational weight. Was considering getting the ~$1700 (for all 4) racing brakes until I did some calculations and realized that the brake rotors rotational inertia aren't big enough to make much of a difference.

Wheels and tires are good, though. Want to go with 18 RPF1's like this guy:

18-19lb per rim... and he made them fit over the BBK's

Well, I wanted to go with them but my shop got confirmation from Enkei they wouldn't fit...so I choose GTC-01. It would have been RPF-01 if the fit would have been guaranteed.

As for the rotors, well, it is also for the suspension. It might not be as pronoucent as with the wheels since the weight of rotors is close to the center but there is no denying that 8 lbs Front/ 4lbs Rear will smoothens the suspension quite a bit.

After 2 weeks, I'm still in love: looks great, brakes great, drive superbly and very composed when doing quick lane changes so what there is not to like??

ah right; I forgot to mention that my calculations only considered the impact to acceleration that lighter rotors would have - wasn't considering the lighter unsprung weight on handling.

It sucks that the Enkei RPF1s wouldnt fit... I wonder if thats just a G37X issue? I mean, what components does it need to clear other than the BBKs?... hmm)

I doubt it, it seems to be a question of stricly clearing the BBK. I tell you, I would have loved to get RPF-1, that was my original plan.
