The KW V3 is a premium brand entry level off-the-shelf coilover.

BC/KSport/Megan/etc. are not entry level coilovers. Rather, they are strictly for lower and stiffening up the ride, nothing more. They DO NOT have any true performance gain.

True coilovers are pieced together based on the buyer's desires. Imagine a G that corners like a Carrera, but rides like a Lexus. That's what is available if you're willing to venture into $5k+ setups.

@ the OP: You bought a nice car. Why would you ruin it with cheap coilovers?
So Mike what about Tein, Stance, JIC,Cusco and the new Eibachs? Are they all the same as KW. They're all around the same price point. I am trying to find the best for my money, but I dont want to put some junk on my car.

JDM coilovers tend to be oversprung, as japanese roads are, literally, perfectly smooth. Watch some civics canyon running on youtube, and you'll understand. The parts may be JDM, but that doesn't mean the application is correct for cars driven in the US.

Tein - which model?

Stance - "don't bother"

JIC - FLT-TAR - IMO, too much hysteresis between compression and rebound on the adjustment dial.

Cusco - no experience

Eibach - which model? The only one I'd personally consider is the R2, but with custom valving rather than off-the-shelf.

German struts are usually the best. Get the KW since it uses Koni shocks which are pretty good.

Sup,fellas
I just traded in my 07 g35 sedan and got the 11 G37 sport sedan looking to get some coilovers.I want to do things rite...After doing some research I've narrowed it down to 2 set ups...
Stance or Tanabe-I got (1200) to spend..
I'm not sure which way to go,I want the best quality for my dollar and car.
I'm looking for looks and performance!!!
And will I need anything else for this mod???
Any other companies I might want to consider??
Someone please help...
I can't stand driving this car around stock-it sucks!!!!

Common misconception. Megan and BC aren't the same company.

And I'd avoid K-Sport as well.

BC are good for the $, but if you want the best, either Stance or KW V3.

I only have experience with the Tein SSP and am really satisfied with them. I rode in my friend s G, he has kw3 and I honestly couldn't tell the difference. I ll be purchasing the EDFC for it over winter so I can adjusts dampening on the fly.
