i thought black chrome and black nickle are the same thing. I have whichever ones the tuner store sells for $420 on sale.

I am curious as to why OP is comparing sways to a strut brace? This is an apples and oranges comparison. It would be better to compare sways to GTSPEC Rear Lower Lateral Reinforcement Brace which have similar function.

my apologies, i was a little confused when i posted but i feel in the end it kinda comes down to whether or not you chose a strut bar or a sway bar and the outcomes of doing so

Strut bar is definitely easier to install. I dont have a jack or stands, so installing sways would be a bit harder for me. Installing the strut bar took me 20 minutes by myself and most of that was finding the right size allen key from my box of tools.

I just installed my front strut bar.
Contrary to what ipitythefoo says, I definitely noticed a difference in the handling. It's not a Lotus now, but the front end is definitely tightened up and the steering just feels right.
I think it was worth it for the price I paid. Just my $.02.

I put on the gtspec stb first and it made the car feel a little tighter going around turns or onto on ramps. when i put on the hotchkis sway bars it was a night and day difference. the car is more settled, feels more like my old 350z as far as handling goes. i don't know what the other guy is talking about when he says there is not a noticeable difference, one corner at speed and you'll feel the difference.

I'm not saying there is not a difference. I thought my car was a damn Ferrari after I spent the money for them. Then I drove my friend's stock car. Needless to say, the difference was noticeable but not amazingly different. I would imagine that getting better endlinks will help more.

I have both. The GT strut tower brace is noticeable a bit. The Hotchkis Sways are truly noticeable. The front is a lot stiffer, back a little more and after installing them I noticed I could take corners about 10mph faster. Combined with good Coilovers you'll be on rails Hotchkis Sway Bars FTW!
