Stupid idea or genius??
Ok, yo don't have to answer that..
So I was in the bathroom sitting on my porcelain throne and a light bulb turned on. *ding!
A little background info....
As of now I'm on Eibachs and 20x9.5 and 20x10.5 GT30 wheels with 255/35 and 285/30 Yoko. S.Drives.
I have no wheel gap right now whatsoever, however, I do rub in the rears on occasion when going up/down on angles and bumps and dips.
My idea is this...
If I am somehow able to get my hands on a set of coilovers **ONLY FOR THE REARS**, and adjust the height in the back by 1/2 or 2/3 of an inch. Yes, sort of like a California drop.
I am more than happy with how my front is dropped, just want the rears to be a little higher.
Suggestions???.. . . . . thoughts??

Bro, the rear is already higher enough, you're rubbing with 285's? Have you shaved your rear bumper bracket? I'm sure that will be the easiest way out. If not, then run 275's, which I had no rubbing issues at all with.

Sometimes you'll find people selling just two coilovers: could save some money. I remember because I would see an awesome price on coilovers and then find out that there were only two...

LOL, thats what I was thinking about.
looks like you gotta be lucky to come across that kind of a deal though. I have another idea... We'll see how it'll look with Eibach fronts and stock sports springs in the back. We'll see how much of a raked stance it will have.

Do you want the rears to be a little higher or for your 285's not to rub? I think its the rubbing that seems to be your issue not really an interest is raising up your back end.
First coil overs for rears are different than for fronts so you'd be better off buying the full set and using adjustments on both front and rear to set ideal ride height. Your real issue is rubbing so keep what you have and shave the rear bumper bracket or go with 275's.

+1 for putting factory springs back in the rear. When we dropped mine, it actually looked pretty good with just teh Eibach front in. Not too much higher in the rear than the front. There is no rake like a 70's muscle car to worry about, it's real subtle.
