Sandbags messing up suspension?

Sandbags messing up suspension?
I had 300 pounds of sandbags in my trunk for the past month or so and now after removing them, the rear end still seems noticeable lower than the front. Would leaving the weight in the trunk for an extended period of time damage the suspension? Has anyone else experienced this?

lol..no I used the weight to help with rear traction in the snow. I left it in the trunk for about a month and after removing the sandbags, the rear looks like its lower than it used to be. I am worried...

put 300 lbs of sandbags under your hood for a month. Problem: SOLVED.

As far as the question goes, I wouldn't think it would do anything to the suspension! But for a whole month...hmmm...maybe it could have some sort of an affect on the suspension.
How low did it go? Maybe you found a cheap alternative way to drop your ride, and keep everything stock! LoL

Looking at the car from the side, the the rear fender and the top of the tire is almost even. It's definitely noticeable, similar to when two people are sitting in the back seat. I don't want the drop in the car though so I am hoping it will rise back to its normal height. Have any of you experienced this before?
the springs are also (very likely) designed to bottom out and not go past the yielding point anyways. so even if you did bottom them out, they would return to normal height.
that being said, settling will happen in steel naturally without going past the yielding point, but it is not usually significant whatsoever (unless you designing a building or something).
so unless theres something wrong with the springs themselves, i doubt it would settle at all. take it to your dealer and do a side-by-side with another G. if its different, complain that you think they are faulty and get a new set of springs under warranty but dont mention the bags lol
