Thumbs up Another Tanabe Sustec Pro Coilover Review

Ok so first big thanks to Lou@Amplified Motorsports for the awesome deal i got on These Coilovers , these are my first set of Coilovers and Coming from G35 Tein S Techs here are my Thoughts!!!

Also a big big thanks to my Buddy Johnathan AKA Slammed37S he i's the man to see if you looking to do Coils i'n SoFlo def call him up. He did everything perfect and took his time , def knows what he is doing and really happy w this whole install process.

I won't go into much detail because there are plenty of pics and reviews already so here i's my quick thoughts...

First i love love the Adjustable height option i played w it till i was happy and it's very easy and straight forward ... after install i had rears set to max drop wich looked same as my S Tech drop and front was already preset by Tanabe so i installed to see where I'm at ...

Here are some pics:

Rears:

Old strut:

The New

Here i's the height right after we installed rears are max dropped and front eded up being lower than B4 wich didn't wrk for me because i would had destroyed my front end and the purpose of coils was to raise it a little just not practical to drive daily like this and even driving down and around the block i scraped and said nope I'm raising it.. i love this .

So next i pulled out tape measurer and did this myself and had so much fun doing it .

Front i slightly slightly raised it higher than b4 when i had S techs and rear also came up a tad and here are the results. I'm so happy w my drop now time to throw some 275/285s back there...

Quick i phone pics after everything was set:

I think this stance i's perfect cause all gaps are closed and no tires are tucking and still looks slammed but practical and this way i won't scrape my mufflers and front end wich i's great ...

Now the test drive !!! One word OMG!!!!

Not to Bash on S Techs cause they did give me a great stance for 3 years but was time to step it up and being my first set of Coils you can go wrong w Tanabe ! Immediately less body roll and cornering was amazing same w the comfort it i's like a stock G37 idk if my S tech ride Quality was that bad but Wow what a night and day diff i'n ride quality, Tanabe did a great job and these are perfect for anyone w a DD looking for a slammed look and maintain ride comfort and better handling...

Now the high speed freeway test and this i's where it got interesting because b4 my S Techs rode like **** on Highway. I took it about 90-100 plenty of times and it's freaking amazing how well it rides lol i was laughing how sweet this was , I'm def gonna have a hard time not driving the car now, feels very predictable at high speeds and cornering and on turns it's a blast i felt like i was gliding on the Freeway and was very very impressed how the car runs and I'm on freaking 235/255 omg lol feels fantastic to say the least .

So to sum things up i think Lou@Ampd has best pricing and can't beat Tanabe for the $$$ very very good ride and coming from springs i will never go back it really i's a night and day diff. I'm def impressed w overall handling and comfort VS Springs just a blast to drive now .

Great post! Your drop on coils looks really nice. Smart to keep adjustment for DD. Will you need to add front and rear camber kits and toe arms for proper alignment and stance?

Looks great. Are this coilovers similar to Teins basic meaning without dampening adjustments only height adjustment?
