Drop on G37X Coupe

Drop on G37X Coupe
I was thinking about getting a drop on my new G37X coupe to lessen the wheel gap. I've never modified any car, so all of this is new to me. Nothing crazy, just make the wheel gap look like the standard journey or "S." However, I have some concerns with the all wheel drive. I figure the wheel gap on the X is there for a reason, i.e. having to do something with the functionality of the all wheel drive. I have the following questions or concerns:
1. Will the drop affect or possibly damage the all wheel drive?
2. How much drop (in inches) is needed and is it equal on the front and back? The gap on the front looks larger.
3. The car is leased. Will I have to get the car raised back up when I turn it in?
4. Am I potentially voiding the warranty with the drop?
5. How much should a drop cost and can I get it done at any reputable looking body shop?
Thanks for all your help.

1) No it wont affect the awd function, i have not lowered my car yet, but the suspension itself wont effect awd at all.
2) Drop to whatever you like, measure from the bottom of the tire, to the bottom of the fender, and they subtract the height of the wheel for a accurate measure of the height at each wheel
3) I cant comment on modding a leased car
4) you will void the warranty on the suspension. Basically whenever you mod something, you will void the warranty on that part. But say you add some coilovers, and the next day your transmission fails or somehow your engine block cracks (super extreme example) they will fix it because its not like the suspension damaged the transmission
5)Depends on the route you go. Coilovers, which will let you adjust the stiffness, as well as ride height whenever you want (plus front/rear cambers which you will need) will run you around 1500. Spring are much cheaper (around 300) but they will wear out your stock something or other (dont know much about springs) and you will not be able to adjust height/stiffness.
No for install i plan on doing coilovers myself because they are not terribly hard. But if your too scared im sure you can take them to infiniti or your favorite shop and they will do it for a modest fee
Hope i helped!

thats just the brand name haha. They arent actually for racing. I dont have them yet. But i got a good deal on cambers and coilovers for around 1500 shifted. You can change the stiffness from lexus like softness to such hard (30 levels)

Thanks for the help. I'm not sure it's worth putting $1500-2000 into a leased X for a drop. I haven't read the lease terms, but I imagine I have to return the vehicle in the same original condition. If I wasn't in a cold climate and didn't need to depend on my car everyday, I would have gone with an S. I got a great deal on the car so I can't be too upset with the wheel gap.

I live In a winter climate too. That's why I'm gettin coilovers. In the winter I can raise and summer I can lower. If you think about. Aftermarket parts are much better quality then the junk the factory gives you

Did some research and it's seems that bc racing coilovers are best bet instead of just springs. Everyone that got springs eventually went with the coilover setup. Also saw the bc coilovers on this site for around 1000

this seems like a good place for me to chime in finally, i recently lowered my X coupe. I just did springs, i went with the Eibach pro kit and i have to say i love it. I can post a pic tomorrow of it. It ran about 575$ in total, parts and install at a shop by me. I think the kit gave the car a much nicer appearance and a better line. Ride quality is between 75% and 85% of stock with just the springs and theres definitely a noticeable difference in handling. I didn't plan on dropping a ton of money into my leased G either but i put the Lowering Kit, Invidia CBE and Stillen Gen 3's in all at once. It was like getting into a whole new car but i love the drop and i would recommend the eibach springs to anyone just looking for a little something to change up the appearance/performance of the car
