Brakes squeal when I reverse the car!
I started noticing it since about 3 weeks, there was a little bit of squealing when I reversed the car out in the morning, but it would go away after 10 seconds.
However, since the last couple of days, I've noticed that squealing noise happen once in a while when I brake during normal driving too.
Any idea what could be causing this and how to rectify?
(About 2,600 miles on the car. No service or oil change etc done yet. Have had the car for just under 6 months though.)

Had this problem and after dealer replaced all 4 brakes with porcelain pads, the problem was solved. It typically happens when you first back out in the morning and then you don't hear it. I recorded it with my phone and brought the car in. They kept it overnight and heard it doing it the next day at the dealer. They are aware of this issue.

According to my service write-up it says that they resurfaced the front rotors. All along I thought we thought the rears were squeaking. That was a little over a month ago.
NOW all of a sudden the front breaks are doing it. It is only when at crawling speed (ie: traffic light stop and go). That makes me think that they simply swapped the rotors from one side to the other. I admit that my car does not squeak in reverse any longer but whatever they did was clearly a workaround. I need new pads and they won't give them to me.
So much for owning an Infiniti. This is my first and it will probably be my last. Not just because of the breaks, but other little things as well.

I have 15K on my 08 S coupe. The brakes squeak when backing up come rain or shine, hot or cold. Dealer was unsympathetic and told me to drive more aggressively to force the "glazing" off the rotors. So how do I drive aggressively when backing up? Dunno, but that's the intelligent answer from the local dealer. By the way, I got scolded for changing my own oil. Needless to say, I avoid going there.
