newbs. 20x9 +20 in the front is not aggressive. I have 20x9.5 +17 on 235/35/20 and no rubbing at all. You will be FINE.

your offsets are 9mm more conservative than mine.

I thought with all wheel drive both rims had to be the same? you can off set the rear to give you the look but the width has to remain the same as the front. I ordered Vossen on my all wheel drive and thats what I was told.

this is my 20x10" rear 40mm offset w/ 245/30/20 stretched tire... yes my rim sticks out about 1.5" from the tire. hard to see in the pics you can see it in person

ya see i dont want it to stick out that far.... so jran said i should run a 285 in the rear.... i actually didnt know what stretched tires were till a couple days ago. i believe the rear cv1's are 20x10.5....

as for the awd is this true i cant run staggered? i went and bought the bc coilovers instead of th eibach springs and i got the kinetix full camber caster kit with toe arm... just to make sure im rolling right. im so confused as to what tire size to get. can anyone confirm if i can go staggered with awd

is this the way all the cv1's are is it that the tire is stretched that the wheel sticks out like that?

Yeah - that pic has a stretched tire. You can put a normal tire setup on them - no requirement to stretch... Not something I'd do, but I gotta admit they look pretty sweet...

The tire sizes I posted will have the least amount of stretch compared to anything you can run. Another way to think about it is, a 285 tire is a little over 11" wide, on a 10" or 10.5" wheel it will have little to no stretch. A 245 is about 9.5" wide, so it will be about the same on the front.

I know that we have had this debate before, but posting that is wrong and misleading. Yes, you run a sick setup, but it is super aggressive with stretched tires and lots of negative camber. It's irresponsible to post something like that without adding additional details. If you are going to post that, at least post what you did to make it fit. There is a small percentage of people that want to run aggressive setups. The OP clearly posted that he did not want to. I run 245/35/20's on my 20x9 +25, and I rub with -1.8 degrees of camber. Anything more aggressive requires more negative camber or more stretched tires.

This depends on who you ask, but I am firm believer that as long as you keep the tire sizes within 1% of each other, the AWD system does not know the difference. The car has no way to know how wide your wheels are. It has speed sensors on each wheel to detect the rotational speed (this is why you need tires with close to the the same circumference), and a 3-axis sensor to detect pitch, roll, and yaw. That's it.... Is is safer to run the same size wheels and tires F/R? Probably. Is it going to cause any major issues if you run different, well selected, sizes? No....

I think the Yokohama S-drives and Hankook Ventus V12's are two of the better tires for the money.

i feel like i started a cluster f@ck of a convo.......... that was very informative. but im thinking like damayor said and run 275 in the rear and 245 in the front. im just really concerned with how low i can go. i like the black coupe vossen did in the pic i think it has perfect wheel gap and the wheels dont look cocked!!! im just trying to get a everyday rolling right sedan that makes people turn there head

I recommended the 285 rear because it is closer in size to the 245/35/20 front. On an AWD, this is important. You will probably be OK with the 275, but the 285 will give you more margin for error.

wait i thought it was about the tire height being close in diameter not the width? cause that wouldnt make sense to throw off the awd system with different widths... how could the system know the width has changed? i think 245/35 front and 275/30 rear will be perfect. i just got the bc coilover and kinetix delivery from ups and wow they are some quality pieces i must say.
