Warped Rotors 2010

Has anyone with a 2010 had warped rotors? If so, did you get the dealer to replace the rotors?

I see there is a TSB on this but it appears to only apply to 2008 - 2009.

I have just over 5,000 miles and have warped front rotors.

meh, i have slightly warped rotors. i went to have it checked out, but they didn't mention anything to me when i came to pick it up (did other warranty items as well). the 2010 are still new; i'm sure there'll be a tsb for the 2010's as well. i doubt infiniti replaced the rotors on the same gen...

There was a TSB for the 08's, but it seems like Infiniti is still using the same sh!tty brakes pads and rotors. My entire car vibrates when I hit the brakes going downhill or from a highspeed. The dealer keeps resurfacing and God knows what but that barely lasts.

Definitely my next mod

The dealer replaced my front rotors and pads (I think, don't have the order in front of me), when I brought my 2010 G37X in for 7 AT complaint after 2 weeks of ownership in June 2010. I mentioned that I didn't feel the typical Brake Warp vibration when stopping, I did feel what I thought was Wheels out of Balance at 65mph +.... They replaced the front brakes and re-Balanced the Wheels and I'm good. Nice and smooth now.

I was coming off the Highway today and noticed a slight vibration as i was braking. I know this feeling and its definitely warped rotors. Though their not too bad right now, its only going to get worse. Will be going in for my first oil change soon, i'll have it checked out then.

Mine is 2009 G37x Sedan and had the vibration problem after 5000km even before, I believe they resurfaced them, problem solved, but it came back after 3 or 4 months; I kept bringing it up with my dealer and they said that there was no problem, so about a month ago I brought my vehicle for something unrelated, one of the technicians took it out for a test and he noticed the vibration, recomended replacement, so I told the service rep that there was a TSB for the 2008 and 09 coupe, and that I was not going to pay for the replacement since is been going on since last year, after a day they called me back, and the rotors and pads were replaced under warranty, so they resurfaced them once and the second time they had to replace them, and added a different heat sink as well, Good luck.

I have a little over 6,000 miles on my 2010 G and no sign of warped rotors. I traded in a 2001 Jeep GC. The Jeep had warped rotors it seemed like from day 1. I had the rotors resurfaced once and replaced twice. When I got the G, that is one of the things that I pay close attention to. So far so good.

You guys need to try driving Acuras and then complain about the rotors. My TL was terrible I went through two sets of fronts until I came across Racing Brake rotors and those were a dream come true.

my 2011 had warped rotors.

They resurfaced the front and rear rotors with no BS.

Said the pads had plenty of life left

I have a 2010. Just purchase 2 months ago as a cpo. Bought it in for the reflash and chipping of the center console chrome. I asked about the vibrations I was having when the brakes applied. They try to charge me for a resurface... said it has too many miles to turn under warranty. 31k

My 09 xS is just starting to show this, about 19K miles. I had this with my Acura TL (as someone else mentioned) and my wife had it with her Odyssey minivan. I've just gotten used to having the rotors turned periodically.

My Z has warped rotors. I have been trying to get them to do something about it but they say they won't. The G is doing good but I don't do hard braking in it.

+1, took my car in to get my center console replaced and the brakes checked. The dealer told me the brakes wouldn't be covered under warranty and it'd be $199 to resurface each rotor. Good times.

Make sure you determine if your rotors are truly warped or if you have uneven pad deposits. The later is far more common than the former. Heavily baked on pad deposits can penetrate the rotor and may change the micro structure too the point that resurfacing doesn't cue the underlying issue. Plus removing material simply means your heat capacity is now smaller... Again, worse problem. That said, light deposits can be removed by scuffing with an abrasive, like sandpaper or a rotor flex hone (I just used one for for the first time and it worked nicely).

Re surfacing will often make the problem worse, as evidenced by the number of folks on this thread that found three problem came back not long after.
