Sway Bars on AWD G???
#18
Ok, as requested the Nissan part # is 54613-JK01A. MAKE SURE YOU ORDER 2!!!! These will be the 24mm bushings. The X comes with bushings designed to fit on a 17mm bar. That will be all the hardware you need for the install (aside from your new bar of course). The new bushings fit inside the same brackets as the old ones did.
As for NCNC 's question... the rwd bar will cartainly be a considerable upgrade from the X bar. However, it will be less stiff than the Stillen bar. 30% less if the Stillen bar is on the softer setting and 70.4% less if the Stillen bar is on the stiffer setting.
BTW you will need the new bushings regardless of whether you get the Stillen or RWD bar.

Nope. Just pop them on the bar and install. In a different sway bar thread I thought I saw someone say that they got aftermarket bushings with grease fittings... but I figured the Nissan ones were good enough. Haven't had a squeak out of them either.

I finally had the stock RWD rear sway installed on my AWD Coupe! Yes, it fits, and same as the sedan the only other parts required are two bushings.
Ride quality is pretty much the same as before. Extra bumps/vibrations transferred to the cabin from the stiffer bar are very minimal so I believe this shouldn't be of a big concern to many people. In terms of handling, I can feel that the rear is now tighter so cornering paths are a bit more precise and predictable. The car seems a little more stable too when going over certain bridge joints.
I would recommend upgrading the rear sway even when we cannot change anything for the front. The extra stiffness on the rear really helps improving the handling.

Initially I struggled between the stock bar vs. aftermarket ones too. My driving style is not that aggressive and I'm afraid that the aftermarket bar would be a bit too stiff for me. Also, because this is my first car mod I have decided to stay on a more conservative side. After some driving with the stock RWD bar I think I can tolerate a bit more stiffness so my guess is that an aftermarket one would be ok to many people.

I haven't seen anything about anyone getting just the rear bar from Hotchkis or Eibach. They will of coarse fit, but you will probably just have to special order them just like you would the Stillen bar.
BTW sway bars have absolutely no effect on the awd system and if you want to stiffen up the front a little bit you can get a strut tower brace. I got one for my car and it makes a little difference. Nothing drastic like the sway bar, but it looks nice! Pics in my garage if your interested.
