Anyone adjust their steering wheel alignment?

I know people have taken their steering wheels for the paddle shifter installs.

I'm wondering if anyone has had to straighten out their steering wheel due to improperly placing it back.

Mine was reinstalled a few months ago by the dealership and it wasn't pointing straight...not even close. I brought it back and they made it more straight, but it's a few degrees off.

Since taking off the steering wheel seems pretty easy (right?), is adjusting how the steering wheel sets onto the column just as easy? I'm hoping to loosen a bolt, move it a few degrees, and tighten it back up again.

This realistic? I don't want to take it off and get into it without some proper forethought

Thanks

Just bring it back and make them set it correctly.

How about...no?

Anything with the steering wheel requires them to take the car out to the freeway to test if it's straight.

you can't adjust it without removing the steering wheel. so, technically you'll have to remove it and get it aligned correctly. it's not that hard to remove the steering wheel, just be sure to unplug your battery before attempting anything.

where do you live? i can probably help if you're in my area
