Racing Brake 2 piece REAR sport rotors - Group Buy

I finally got information directly from Racing Brake on development of the rear G37 Sport 2 piece rotors.

They are currently being tooled and the projected availability is said to be in 8 to 12 weeks. Those who purchased the front rotors group buy can participate in another group buy for the rear rotors at a similar discount as the fronts.

From my own personal experience, I found that the quality and workmanship of the product to be first rate IMO. The front rotors look fantastic and weigh 7.5 lbs less than stock on each rotor. I upgraded the rotors, pads, and stainless steel lines all at once along with a fluid flush. It produced a very noticeable improvement in initial braking bite and much firmer pedal feel.

If you want to participate, please add your name to the list.

1. Black Betty
2. thenameistuan (front and rear)
3. oreoleo (front and rear)
4. Lastchance (front and rear)
5. qb37Xs (front and rear)
6. Presto
7. 2GoRNot2G

We will offer pre-orders with an incredible price of $299 each ; $598 for a pair (one left, one right, slotted finish. Open slots add $20 each). This absolute top quality two-piece rotor is retailed at $404 each. On top of these huge savings, the first five (5) orders will save even more - Free shipping within the continental 48 states.
This is the pricing on the front rotors that I purchased from the original GB for the front rotors over on G35 Driver. The rears are listed at $421.21 and are only shown in slotted form. Two-piece rotor (Slot) - G37 (Sport) REAR 2009

i agree, their front 2 piece rotors are top notch as I have them on my car.

couple questions black betty, are the rears going to be open slotted so they will match the fronts or it is only going to be in just slot form. second, do they provide any weight reduction similar to the weight reduction going from OE front to RB front rotors?

Open slots are $20 more, each.

I doubt the weight savings will be as significant as the fronts. But i'm curious to see what they can get out of it. My guess is no more than a couple of pounds as most of the weight is shaved off the hat, and the rear hats aren't all that big.

OK, here's the email I received. I probably should have posted this from the start.

If you can post in your forum to keep other enthusiasts informed that would be great. We estimate another 8-12 weeks, but we can assure you that the wait will be worthwhile, and we will offer the similar discount for those already own our front two piece rotors.
We want to make the best two piece rotors in the performance industry and thank you for patience and supports.

LOL! I should've used the old "different nick" technique. Now everyone knows it's me.

I was considering it, but feel that the weight savings aren't worth it. I may just sit this one out and make a decision when they've produced the actual rotor.

Should be somewhere around the neighborhood of $600 per pair. See post #5.
