I'm gonna be tightening my suspension, but which spring? Eibachs have a progressive springrate while Tanabes are a constant (linear) springrate. Which one is better for going over a lot of speed bumps?

If it matters, I also plan to put on coilovers, prolly KWs. And I know the stock suspension would be better with the speed bumps, I'm looking for a compromise here, since I won't be tracking the G but I drive agressively. The speed bumps suuk

Yes, upgrading the stock suspension. I just don't know how "progressive" and "linear" translate to going over speed bumps.

Well if you are going with coilovers, you buy as a package so you won't need to purchase springs too. I guess that's why I'm confused.

Thanks, I didn't realize that coilovers and springs were mutually exclusive. What if I passed on the coilovers (not sure) and got springs instead? Which spring would be more forgiving over speed bumps?

coilovers already come with springs. eibach would be your best bet since it is the mildest drop and you wont scrape going up them

If you're not planning to track your car and don't need to adjust your ride height, I suggest you save yourself some money and just get springs and Hotchkis sway bars.

You will not have any problems going over speed bumps with either Eibach or Tanabe. Tanabe will probably be more comfortable since the drop is less than Eibach.

If only looking at springs, most experts will tell you that progressive spring rates will be more comfortable to the average driver.

Would you see a difference between the Eibachs and Tanabe springs on speedbumps? I really don't think so.

I don't need to adjust the ride height, except to eliminate that 2" gap above the wheel wells, which I hear Eibachs do a good job with. I'm a little hesitant with the Eibachs because that's what I ride on now with my Maxima, and they are brutal on speed bumps, although that could be my Koni shocks as well. Thanks for the help, I'll either get the Eibachs or Tannabes. With all else being equal, I know I like the drop with the Eibachs but I don't know how low the Tanabes get.

Are KWv3 coilovers better than Eibach springs? Or just more adjustable? (I just am unfamilar with the G37 suspension options.)

They are much better. Not only will you get adjustment on ride height but on dampening as well. But the biggest gain is the improvement in handling.
