Sold the goodridge lines and went with stoptech. The stoptech work fine.

Also bought new calipers

So you don't know if the stoptech lines would of worked with the original BBK you were having issues with? Good thing I just read this thread cause I just ordered brake lines for my car a few days ago and was thinking about getting the goodridge set. Good thing I didn't get those.

The goodridge didn't work with the original or the new one or my friends caliper.
I try the goodridge on 3 sets and none of them work.

Crazy stuff, glad it worked out for you in the end. What did you do with your messed up calipers? I'm assuming they aren't usable anymore?

They are still usable actually. They just require different bolts that are bolt from napa.

What I did was install a helicoil in it. Which basically looks like a spring. You spin in inside the old tread and the helicoil use itself as a new tread. I bought a new bolt and cut it to the same size as the OEM bolts.

I'm just keep it the old ones though and have it for display or throw it away.

Bumping an old thread because I think I'm about to buy Goodridge lines since they are probably the best brake lines out in the market.

I think I know what went here. I've been researching about what lines my car needs in order to work with the Akebono upgrade.

Info on my car:
2007 Infiniti G35 Sport 6mt
(Same brakes as a non-sport g37 coupe) - (Someone mentioned that the non-sport sedans have even smaller brakes than the non-sport coupes)

Like I mentioned before my car and non-sport coupes share the same brakes. I want to upgrade my brakes to the BBK Akebono's.

Goodridge offers two different sets of brake lines for our cars:

Non-Sport Models # GOOD22034
Goodridge Gstop Stainless Steel Brakeline Kits 22034 GOOD22034 | STILLEN

Sport Models # GOOD22075
Goodridge Gstop Stainless Steel Brakeline Kits - Uncoated - Sport Models w/Akebo | STILLEN


I believe that the main differences in the kit is the obvious additional line for the non-sport kits AND the BANJO Bolts needed for the Akebono Caliper which is different than the non-sport calipers.

In my opinion you should have ordered the Goodridge Akebono Sport Brake Lines instead of the ones for the non-sport.

My only issue is the extra two brake lines that are meant for the front of the car that are used in the non-sport models. Are these two brake lines not needed if I were to upgrade to Akebono BBK?
