A few members and myself just contacted them several times asking if anything was planned. First few times they said no, eventually they said they have it in the works and within a month I had them pre-ordered through HPAUTO. They are the only vendor to sell them to my knowledge. I got very lucky I guess since I can't imagine they've sold very many sets.

I stand corrected.

I read my sources wrong. TEIN USA | MODEL&PRICE | INFINITI

I overlooked the "exc" part.

^It's all good man. Although you did get me excited for a split second and then my dreams for coils were dashed yet again

Did they test fit the already available RWD Sedan springs and confirm fitment on the AWD or develop a whole new set of springs for your AWD? Can you post the model number (may not be conclusive though in telling us whether the springs are the same...)?

I will keep pushing as long as those who have been vocal about this buy the products. It is very important that we put our money where our mouth is. I am willing to do my part, either send my vehicle to Cali for R&D or buy the product that comes out from other R&D efforts. Seems vendors are hesitant in this economy and I don't balme them. If it was my company I would want to make sure my investment has a return. It will take supporting the first one before we can get the others, IMO. Updates to follow.
See I already feel we are being more than accommodating. By expressing SOLID interest in countless threads across multiple forums, you would think these manufacturers would have enough incentive to take someone up on their offer to ship them their AWD! To be honest with you, shipping at the company's expense is completely reasonable- I don't know their profit margins, but I highly doubt it would take any time at all for them to make this shipping cost back. I've been excited about all this, making threads, calling, sending emails, trying to get these companies to realize that there is a sizeable market out there just waiting for AWD mods to be made, but I'm frustrated and starting to give up on it*. Its a business- if they're not seeing the profits in manufacturing AWD mods, then they won't be made, no matter how many threads are created, calls are made, emails sent, etc...

*still not to the point of ordering RWD springs though. Maybe if fewer AWD owners bought parts designed for AWD, these companies would have more incentive to develop said parts for us. Not blaming any AWD owners for this at all- in the end you just want a damn part for your car.

to my knowledge they developed a whole new set for the AWD. The part number for the G37x coupe is 6394.140 and for the G37S is 6388.140

here is a link.

also the drop rates for the x coupe are alot more aggressive than the g37s so it compensates nicely for the bigger wheel gap on the AWD's.

I called Hotchkis yesterday about getting sway bars developed for the AWD version. I didn't get the Hotchkis guy's name but he said he was very interested in the development. He also said he was planning on posting on the forum to see how much interest there really is. Of course he will want a AWD car to develop the system. I would think there has to be at least one performance guy with an X version in SoCal that would like some suspension parts! It was mentioned in an earlier post about the number of X's in the North East. I am in Boston and it is difficult to relay to Someone in SoCal just how many X versions there are up here. Of course many of them would have no intention of modding their car but their has to be a good amount due to the performance nature of the car. These are 328 HP sport sedans! Maybe we should start a headcount of how many people would buy the kit? I think the key is to keep the interest levels up with the manufacturers and eventually one of them do it.

Triple, have you heard anything from K sport recently?

Also, I had e-mailed KW a while ago asking if they had anything in their plans for the X; no response. I'll take that as a no.

Hotchkis is looking for a G37X but a late model G35X may be ok? See this thread and you could get free sway bars out of the deal: G37 needed for R&D for Hotchkis Sway bars!
