G37x Sedan Brakes (non-sport model)

New G37x sedan, non sport package, with less than 1,000 miles on it so far. I have driven several G37x sedans as loaners when I had my M35x and was always impressed with the brakes.

I am not impressed with the brakes on the car that I purchased. It seems like the stopping distance and brake feel are worse than the previous G37x's that I have driven (they were also not the sport model). I have setup an appointment this week with the dealer to have them inspected but I am doubtful that they will find anything technically wrong.

So assuming that the dealership does not find anything wrong, what are my options to improve the brakes? Would installing different brake pads help? Can I purchase the OEM sport model brakes? Or would you recommend a non-OEM alternative. I am open to suggestions
