Cut Bump Stops?

I just got my set of Tanabe lowering springs and I was wondering if anyone cut the bump stops down. When I've lowered in the past it's recommended that like 15-30mm be trimmed from the bump stops due to the smaller spring. Is this necessary on the G37?

Wow! I thought I would have had a reply on this by now. So many people have gone lower and no one cut the stops? Did anyone measure droop travel and other key points?

My suspicion is that the G in stock form either rides on or comes close to riding on the bump stops. When you lower without cutting the bumps, you are well into its proggressive rate and now sitting on it at all times. This creates the "bouncy" feeling normally associated with poor installations.

Anyone?

I don't think you have to cut them. When I had the springs the car wasn't bouncy.

It's not just the bouncy feel. It's the diminished suspension travel and how the bump stop acts as a secondary spring acting on the damper at all times.
