From my discussions, I think they are going to use the G35 arm as is.....not 100% positive. I think the only thing that needs some change may be the caster/camber adjustment assembly. Jeff needs my camber info. I was being too slow so he called me and poked me....I was traveling so just running behind.

Nice. Im gonna slam my car soon and i wanna get this kit.. but not with the issues it has now.

So its almost certain theyre going to re-engineer the G35 arms for our cars, rather than using the G37 SPC arm?

The arm that I have is part number 72130 which was designed for the 2007-2008 G35/G35X Sedan. It is not the same arm as for the older G35 models.

If they go with this arm for the G37, there should not be any change to the arm. Take a look at this picture. It fits almost perfectly up in the pocket of the fender.

The potential issue that both Finagle69 and I have brought up is that there might be a better design for the camber/caster mechanism.

Guys, gals, if anyone needs more info as well, hit me up. We are on this case with SPC to see what will happen. I believe the G35 arms will be used for you all as they have minimal issues currently.

Yeah, I'd be interested as well in the x coupe. Man, I know we've gotta be patient, but I'm surprised it's taken SPC this long to address this issue.

Got my alignment today and here are the results.

Caster:
Spec: 4.83 deg + or - 0.75 deg
OEM Arm in 9/2008 with Eibach Pro-Kit, Left 5.1 deg, Right 5.1 deg.
G35 Arm today with -0.5 deg caster adjustment, Left 5.0 deg, Right 4.7 deg

Camber:
Spec: -0.42 deg + or - 0.75 deg
OEM Arm in 9/2008 with Eibach Pro-Kit, Left -1.3 deg, Right -1.7 deg.
G35 Arm today with -0.5 deg caster adjustment and Eibach Pro-Kit, Left -0.5 deg, Right -0.5 deg

Net Correction:
I set the camber adjustment to the max positive adjustment before I went in. This took me from -1.7 deg on the OEM arm to -0.5 deg on the G35 arm for an improvement of +1.2 deg.

So bottom line is that with an Eibach drop (or something similar), the shorter G35 a-arm (SPC #72130) compared to the G37 Coupe a-arm (SPC #72135) will get you back to near nominal setting if you so desire and with no fender clearance problems.

Another way to look at it is to look at the camber measurement you have with your OEM a-arm from your last alignment and take off about 1.2 deg to see where you will end up.

I just emailed this to SPC so would expect to see something official from them in the not too distant future, but that is all I know for now.

Hamster wow! Thanks for taking the time and doing all of this. I'm looking forward to see SPC's response. I still have the front arms which I have to send back to Andy and see by the look of it getting the G35 arms as per your suggestion since I'm dropped on Eibach for my x coupe

^ Thanks for the specs!

Quick question: If I understand you correctly, we should leave the G35 arms on max positive adjustment to be near nominal? (Just trying to figure out where to set it at during the install...before an actual alignment)
