Eibach Pro vs H & R Springs?

Hey guys,

I'm one of a rare breed of ppl who drive the '09 G37x (AWD) coupe and can't wait to drop my car. Eibach is still working on a pro kit for the AWD coupe and H & R already has an application for it ready. I've heard nothing but great things about Eibach, but haven't heard much from H & R springs. My goal is to put on 20's and drop it, just not sure whether you guys think I should wait until Eibach makes springs for the AWD or get the H & R springs?

Not sure about the X, but on the S H&R's pretty much slam it, whereas the Eibach is more subtle. I went with the Eibachs just because I was afraid of having to live with a slammed ride all the time.....

Is it possible to acheive a "safe" drop with H & R springs?

Well, I'm not sure whether what goes for the S also goes for the X. H&R may be a perfectly safe drop on the X, I jus don't know....

from what I've heard H&R used recycled parts and all the g35's and g37's had the same spring, just labeled differently. Hence why the 2'' drop on g37 when advertised as 1.5, bouncier ride, etc.

For the X model they will need to absolutely make a new application specific to fit car. So it will be in spec with the advertsed drop, spring rates, etc. Should be a good spring IMO, similar to eibach just .3'' lower. Not too noticeable anyways.

I am about to pre-order mine and SPC camber kit. They are due beginning of april

if they absolutely suck for some reason, I can always switch back or wait it out for some coils or something, but I think they should be fine.

Update: Eibach springs for G37 AWD will be ready at the end of the week. Drop rates are 1.9 and 1.6. Engineer said there was quite a bit of room, so a more aggressive drop was developed.

I would get the Eibachs. Especially if your are planning to get 20's. Unless you really want the slammed look and will prob have to get new shocks sooner than later.

There is no way Eibach will drop lower than H&R.

Bro get the Eibachs, it's worth the wait. I already told you the reason why.

Kinda like everyone said, on the "S" I would definitely go with the Eibachs because the H&R's are slammed and the rear looks dumped. If that is oppostie for the "X" then I would go with the H&R's. Seems strange that it would be that much different though.

yea I hear ya man. the reason the eibach is going to be lower is because both springs are guaranteed to be specific otherwise they wouldn't mount the AWD setup. The g37S H&R's were the same for the g35s and i think 350z's so that is why they advertised 1.5 but dropped closer to 2'' in some cases, like u mentioned.

with the H&R being specific for the AWD they claim 1.5, so I'd assume it would be about 1.5. andy talked to the engineer at eibach and said since the wheel gap is bigger for the AWD, eibach is going to have a drop rate of 1.9 in front and 1.6 in rear. that seems like it would be maddd low, but I'm going to measure those rates against my car after work lol.

As far as brand goes, I'd rather eibach....but also don't want the car to be toooo low.
