to be honest, from the looks of where its rubbing (flat part above cover) it doesnt really look like a redesign would help. there may just not be that much space between the hood and cover. so as easy as it is to jump on gt spec, im not sure they can help any...
Agree and the rubbing does not look too bad for 3+ months. Looks like it would take a after market engine cover that allowed strut bar to go lower and no one is making one for our cars yet.....at least not that I can find.

or just remove the engine cover and slam the bar down to its lowest. i know a lot of the older g/z guys disliked the cover because they believe it traps heat in the engine bay.

I like my bar... Functional and looks great. I think I'm gonna get some left over clearbra from a local shop and cover mine.

Don't get me wrong, like I said in my original thread I am very happy with the bar. It's a functional piece, and I'm not bothered by the minor scratching. I am just sharing my experience so people can see what they might encounter with their installations.

Thanks. It's not too bad I guess. I can deal with that.

I was going to put mine today but stopped. I'll wait until my springs are installed. Thinking of painting the mount brackets on the GT Specs too.

BTW, here is another strut bar option that may or may not rub.

Circuit Sports Aluminum Strut Bar

Per Options Import, not in stock but available within 1-day from vendor.

I knew about this one from Circuit Sports, but like the looks of the GT Spec better. Mine is on a FedEx truck somewhere is Maryland.....should be here tomorrow. But I don't get it till Christmas. My thoughtful children bought me the strut brace, front under and rear under braces. Wife got me Stillen sways. Much better than another tie or coffee mug.
