Good thing is Nissan/Infiniti used this rear design on all the G/Z platforms, Altima, M35/45, Fx's and so on. With the video it will show how to properly load up the springs.

As for the convertible we are working on getting more info on the vehicle. Any chances of you coming to Zrun?

This will help clarify the setup is done correctly and if there is a issue afterwards then we can properly handle it from there. 99% of the time whether it was done at a shop, the issue will be the shock and spring were not setup properly. We get many calls from shops installing the coilovers asking how they are supposed to setup. This shows that not all shops are knowledgeable on how to do the install properly and this video should help everyone get past that point. If there are any questions, please contact our tech team at tech@bcracing-na.com

good to hear.

i got the longer strut and spring spacer for my X sedan and it seemed to do the trick with the ride height and squeek in the rear, so i guess thats fixed now im having dampening problems, if i go to plush settings like 5 front and 10 rear the car drives like a boat and im lowered pretty damn low. if i go to so much as 10 front and 15 rear its like i feel every little pebble in the road and im running continental dws extreme contact tires there very good tires. i dont know what setting to go at

How long have you had it? It took about 300 miles for my struts to settle in, then i dialed-in the dampers. It was pretty rough right off the bat.

How much preload do yo have on the spring? Based on the previous setup you had you may have liked the ride with more preload. Since you were limited your previous setup minimized the amount of rebound on the spring, you can recreate it without affecting ride height. You can put the rear tires on ramps so the cars weight compresses the springs. With the shocks lower rings lose, rotate the cartridges into the lower mount. Try it in stages, personally I don't see a need in it, but every driver is different. The only difference in your current setup and previous is the preload changed. Valving and spring rates maintained the same. Let me know how it goes.

For that video we were going to post, I forgot turkey day was this week and we were cramming a 5 day work week in 3. We will get one done up on return from the holidays. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Is it safe to say all the kinks have been worked out of these coilovers? Im in the market for some coils and its down to these or Tanabe. 1) Noise and 2) soft/smooth ride quality are my main priorities. Noise can not be tolerated, period. Can these duplicate an OEM like ride (or close to it) on the softer dampening setting?

^ good to know. Im curious, If you do not run extenders for the rear how hard is it to make adjustments to dampening? Do you have to remove rear seat or trunk plastics to access?
