I recently rear-ended someone in traffic and now my car is in the shop being worked on. My mechanic reached out to me and sent me the pictures attached, saying "this one looks broken" and that I need to get a new one. I'm sorry if this has already been covered in another thread, but if it was, I wasn't able to find it because I don't even know what to look up.
Would anyone be able to tell me what part this is? My mechanic sent me the screenshot of the "OEM front bumper right stiffener" and said "maybe something like this?"
So I'm just trying to make sure I order the right part. I have a 2010 G37 Base Convertible although I've upgraded to the Sport model front bumper if that makes any difference.
That appears to be the correct part. It helps support the bumper cover. You can put the car back together and get the part later, if it's holding you up. You'll just have a gap where the cover meets the fender. They cost like $25 on Ebay and slip right in. I've broken a couple of the oem ones messing with my bumper. The aftermarket ones claim they are stronger.
