Passenger side window does not roll down when door opened

Hello All,

I've had this car for several years now and am aware of the need to reset the power windows due to battery failures or whatever. The drivers side window rolls down about 3/8" and then back up when the door is shut. I know this is normal. The passenger side does not do this. The window does not move at all when opening the door. Is this that way it should be? If not what should I look for?

Just went out and tested mine. The window does drop and rise for what I can only assume to get tighter "vacuum" in the space. You should check the connections to your window.

Yes this is normal for them BOTH to go down and then seal once shut. If yours is not you probably need to just reset the window.

Long story short you have to roll the window down and hold it for like 5 seconds, then roll it up all the way and hold it for 5 seconds and you should be good. Something like that lol.

It drops down so you are not forcing the window out of the track when you open the door since there is no pillar. The top of the window seals into the roof and not a part of the door that moves with the door when you open it.

The black switch in the door gap by the latch make sure the bolt is in there. It grounds via the bolt so if it doesn't see it grounded it won't roll down

Do the window switches work?
