Flickering HID

First off, I want to start by saying I just picked up a 2009 G37x yesterday and love it death!!

The only issue I'm having with it is I noticed last night when I was driving around town, sometimes the passenger side HID would turn on and sometimes it wouldn't.

It seems to just be random when it works and when it doesn't but when it does work it will continue to work until I turn the car off and back on. Sometimes when I turn the lights on it will come on and sometimes it won't.

I also noticed that when it is on and I'm parked in front of the garage or a wall or something, I can notice some flickering coming from it.

Is this a sign of a bad bulb or a wiring issue somewhere? I've never had HIDs before so I don't have any experience or knowledge about them.

It also seems to be a of a more whiter color compared to the one on the drivers side but that could just be me too haha.

Are they oem bulbs? Most likely it's your bulbs you either need oem bulbs or morimoto xb35 hid bulbs which are a great aftermarket option.

You can try swapping bulbs from left to right to see if the issue moves with the bulb or stays on the same side, if it moves you need new bulbs, if it stays it's likely the ballast.

Great, thanks for the tip/suggestion! If I get some time this week I'll do that but if not I'll for sure try it this weekend.

Do you happen to know what kelvin rating the oem bulbs are? I'm assuming 5500k.
