Dynamic Diode LED Map and Door lights

Installed vanity, map, door, trunk, and license plate bulbs with dynamic diode's led bulbs. I notice while driving that the map and door lights stayed dimly lit. Vanity stayed off. Not sure about the trunk or license. I turned the headlights off and still was faintly on. When I turn the car off, all was off. Should I worry?

Have this same issue with DD ones and another brand. It goes away after a while. Does not happen when a regular bulb is in any of the sockets. Maybe some small amount of capacitance in the circuitry.

It's because of the very low voltage being supplied to your lights at all times is enough to make the LED glow dimly. If you switch your interior lights to 'off' instead of 'door' they will turn off as there's no longer power going to them.

I notice that too when I switch to "off" position the LED are off. If it's no biggie than I will leave it alone. Thanks!

The LEDs draw so little (milliamps) that the resting current when the circuit is off can be enough to keep them faintly glowing.

You could install a resistor to prevent it from occurring, but it's not going to cause any issues whatsoever

Thank you for ordering with us

I installed DD's in the same position and haven't noticed this issue but I keep my light switch on auto. I will say, these are BRIGHT. Huge difference and in the best way.

Nature of LED bulbs .... a small fraction of line voltage will cause this faint glow. Regular bulbs this voltage is not enough to illuminate them. Live with it or go back to regular bubs.

Dimmer than that .... really won't notice it unless you look for it.
