LED fog lights stopped working

Installed the retrofitsource led's a few weeks back and everything was working perfectly. I wanted the headlights to match so I bought the morimoto 5.5k bulbs to match. Not sure if it happened during the headlight install or if they went out beforehand but the fog lights not do not turn on anymore. I checked the fuse, it was not blown. Any ideas on how to fix?

Check the fuse first then all connections.

If none of the wiring is messed up, I'd contact TRS. They have great customer service and the LED fog lights come with a 10 year warranty.

If it's not the fuse swap back out with your OEM's to see if the bulbs are out.

Are your headlights on? The fogs only come on when the headlights are on as well unless you've installed some type of module or bypass.

Finally got some time to check the connections with my multimeter. Looks like they aren't getting any power. I'm stumped since its not the fuse. Any ideas?

Try replacing the fuse even though it looks good.

All i can think of is the fuse. Did you check them with the multimeter to see if they are actually blown? Sometimes its hard to see just by looking at it.

Why waste any more time troubleshooting? If you bought the morimoto LED fog housing replacements from them..they have a 10 year warranty. Give them a call and get that RMA process started. If you just got LED bulbs, unsure from your original post, then go out and buy a halogen H8 bulb and stick it in there to rule out the fog light led going bad.

Did you ever confirm that the "I bought the morimoto 5.5k bulbs" that you installed had the same resistance load and current draw as the OEM ones?

Follow the troubleshooting steps in the FSM

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G37/Sedan/2013/EXL.pdf

See page EXL-18

System Description
INFOID:0000000008294104
OUTLINE
Front fog lamp is controlled by combination switch r
eading function and front fog lamp control function of BCM,
and relay control function of IPDM E/R.
FRONT FOG LAMP OPERATION
• BCM detects the combination switch conditi
on by the combination switch reading function.
• BCM transmits the front fog light request signal to
IPDM E/R with CAN communication according to the front
fog lamp ON condition.
Front fog lamp ON condition
- Front fog lamp switch ON with the
headlamp ON (except for the high beam ON)
• IPDM E/R turns the integrated front fog lamp relay ON, and turns the front fog lamp ON according to the
front fog light request signal.

If you damaged or blew out any of the above components it may end up being an expensive fix?

EXL-48

Diagnosis Procedure
INFOID:0000000008294136
1.
CHECK FRONT FOG LAMP FUSE
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Check that the following fuses are not fusing.
Is the fuse fusing?
YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> GO TO 3.
2.
CHECK FRONT FOG LAMP SHORT CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector and the front fog lamp connector.
2. Check continuity between the IP
DM E/R harness connector and the ground.
Does continuity exist?
YES >> Repair the harnesses or connectors. And then replace the fuse.
NO >> Replace the fuse. (Replace IPDM E/R if the fuse is fusing again.)
3.
CHECK FRONT FOG LAMP BULB
Check the applicable lamp bulb.
Is the bulb normal?
YES >> GO TO 4.
NO >> Replace the bulb.
4.
CHECK FRONT FOG LAMP OUTPUT VOLTAGE
CONSULT ACTIVE TEST
1. Disconnect the front fog lamp connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Select "EXTERNAL LAMPS" of
IPDM E/R active test item.
Fog : Front fog lamp ON
Off : Front fog lamp OFF
Unit Location Fuse No. Capacit

Good luck
