Mine does it too. Fairly random though. Some days it's quiet, other days it sounds like the dash is falling apart. Appears to be related to temp/humidity.

I believe the issue you're experiencing is squeaky noise coming from the cowl. There is a huge thread (it's stickied) about how to fix this yourself. It's almost like "popping" noise that comes from the windshield.
I think the original pictures from that thread are gone. So yesterday I bought a sheet of felt from Michael's ($1) and cut small rectangle pieces and placed it where the sound was coming from. I used a thin paperclip to push it in there. It hasn't been making any noises.

This is where my noises were coming from -- Took Infiniti three different visits to figure out what I was talking about because of how randomly it would exhibit itself. It used to be related to how hot it was outside, now it's starting to happen again 6 months later but on the driver's side and based on how cold it is (colder the louder). It is most definitely the plastic cowl under the wipers on the outside of the car. The felt backing wears out and/or you get dirt particles under there that end up rubbing against glass and causing a very annoying type of noise.

I had that popping noise too and instead of doing the "long threaded" fix (because I'm lazy) I instead did what someone else suggested from this site and sprayed silicone lubricant on the lower edge of the windshield meets that that plastic and I haven't heard that popping sound. It's been about 2 weeks and drive to Vegas from LA this weekend.

That thread should help you out. I read that thread but decided to do it my way. I bought some of this weatherstrip tape:
Frost King E/O 5/16 in. x 1/4 in. x 17 ft. White EPDM Cellular Rubber Weatherstrip Tape-V25WA - The Home Depot
I split it in half along the middle seam. I then cleaned the bottom edge of the windshield glass with alcohol very thoroughly until there's no dirt on my wipe. (Yes, you'll have to take the wiper arms and plastic cowls off.) I carefully laid the weatherstrip tape right on the edge of the glass and reinstalled everything. When you put the plastic cowls back on, you'll have to push the weatherstrip rubber inside the groove. I did this last year and the noises have never come back. I think my fix is just as good and permanent as some of the other methods discussed in that thread.
If I ever needed to take it apart and do it over again, I'd buy black weatherstrip tape instead of white. Also, when uninstalling the wiper arms, make sure you push it down near where it's attached to the screws and then pull them up. Do not try to pull them straight up or you'll never get them off. I struggled with the darn things for a while before figuring out how to do it.

i bought some J-shape rubber trim on ebay - no need to remove wipers or even the driver side plastic cowl - just remove connectors to make it loose and tuck the stuff in.
i now have another dash noise - i think a pen or something fell behind my glovebox, and i can hear something sliding around back there when i make turns. reached behind, but can't feel anything. will be taking glovebox apart today ...

Thanks for this post. I noticed the noise on my 2013 yesterday and will order some of this now. Looks like you ran it all the way across the bottom of the glass. How long a piece do you think you used? Looks like ebay sells it by the foot.
