So is my paint suppose to look like this?

So I was recently involved in an accident that insurance didn't cover and needed to get my front bumper painted because there were were 2 deep scratches and it really killed the look of the front of the car. Anyways I got it painted today and when the painter was done I asked him why the color is extremley off. He said it takes 2 weeks to blend in. I gave him the correct color code (K51) for my 08 coupe but the paint is too off. Let me know what you guys think. Here are a couple pics

Difficult to tell the shade of paint on the front bumper compared to the rest the car with the lighting. It looks like there is dirt on the front of the bumper?? Also, there are still two scratches on the front of the bumper. Were they not fixed? Better to take a picture in sunlight. But if you see the colour is that off I don't imagine that it's going to change much in two weeks. . .
Was the work done by a good reputable shop?

The way I look at it, if you have to ask about it the answer is probably no...its not supposed to look that way. From the pics it looks like wax that wasn't buffed off. Gotta see the better pics

Was this a business? That is absolutely terrible, you could honestly do better with a rattle can...

Have you considered something like this instead?
Infiniti G37 Front Bumper Cover 08 09 10 Coupe 2dr Jlooh | eBay

Honestly I would get your money back and bring it somewhere else or buy a used cover online.

If you paid for them to only touch up 2 scratches instead of painting the entire panel then you made a mistake by being so cheap. Even many good professional shops will have trouble making that paint match exactly. A shop that will do a job like touch up the scratches instead of painting the entire panel is not a professional. Now you'll have to pay someone again to do it right. Pay them to paint the whole panel. Or do like the poster above suggests and buy a whole new bumper.

I agree with the others. The color isn't going to change at all at this point.

I'd suggest getting the whole bumper re-sprayed at this point.

Unless.....

Could the color appear be off because of the texture? The newly sprayed paint is going to appear more glossy in comparison to the old paint. Maybe you can polish up the old paint to better match?

DID YOU TRY WHIPPING IT OFF? if that doesn't work, try to go back to the shop and ask them to buff it with a rotary buffer and that should do it.

Wiping what off? You can clearly see the line where the new paint was applied. They didnt blend anything and the color is way off. That bumper needs to be entirely re finished.

Same. When my old mkv GTI got hit and run in a parking lot I took it to the Porsche dealerships body shop to get a Euro bumper put on as a replacement.

They called me the day I was supposed to pick it up profusely apologizing because it came out of paint not up to their standards and they stripped it and painted it again on their own dime. All without me ever even seeing the original paint job.

Thats what I expect from any body shop.

Sorry that I didn't read your post carefully, I thought that was polish residue the left on your bumper after they polished the clear coat. also IF im seeing it correctly there some dents on your bumper as well and mind as well have them fill up these license plate hold while you at it.
