Long day just finished my lights. I think they came out great. Love the sharp blue/purple hid cutoff. Will post more pic tomorrow.

Or maybe the stepped, reflector area around the little running lights?

Now to truly assess and respect this work, you should take more pictures, in focus, in different and better lighting.

Just from that picture there, however, I'd be really, really happy with this mod. Good job.

Upper "Eyeliner" looks killer! Nice work. I don't have the ***** to take apart the headlights but your simple style looks great. I was thinking dark grey vinyl CF wrapping on the side markers with the semi gloss black would look cool and flow with the AutokitsX rear diffuser on my car. There is always 180 for us less artistic guys!

I'm definitely in for more pics regarding trimming the high-beam cutoff shield. I've read many folks mentioning they do this but without any direction. Please add a small write up if you can.

I wish I would have left the ring around the turn signal chrome but as for the reflector area left chrome I didn't like the look of that.

That's a good idea, I should have tried a carbon wrap on the reflector.

See below. I trimmed down the high beam shield with a dremel

Thanks! I put clear lenses on my A6 when I was driving it. I wasn't sure about pre and post facelift projectors for these cars.

Thanks for the pic of the cutoff mod procedure. I can't tell from that exactly what is cut down? Is it so subtle that the pics don't really show the before & after or am I completely missing something? About how far down did you have to cut to get your current cutoff?

See the highlighted Yellow area in 3b and 4. The main cutoff shield is silver and the high beam shield is black. In 3and 3b you see a section of the black shield sticks up slightly over the main shield. I just took a dremil and trimmed down a few mm of the black shield so it can be below the main shield. You can see this in picture 4, now some of the silver shield being visable above the black shield (yellow area).
