Plastidip paint job
So I was skeptical of how it would turn out however am very impressed with the results. The blue turned out a little darker then I had wanted but all in all it looks great! Will keep everyone updated on the longevity if am one is contemplating doing this themselves.

Where in texas are you from? If you're local to me I'd like to check it out in person. But you won't really find anyone here that will like a plastidip'd car, well other than Jessie. We know it peels off easy, it just does not look as good as paint. But you seemed to have done a pretty good job.

You can still see where the Mt. Fuji badge was on the trunk. You did a pretty good job on the paint, but as was stated above not many here will approve. If you enjoy it, I guess thats all that counts.

Yea that was my fault. You couldn't see it until I tried to epoxy the badge back on not realizing that epoxy won't bond to plastidip, so the badge fell off and the epoxy residue stayed behind.

Well i think it looks good. Who the hell cares how much the car cost. What is the difference between him plastidipping the car for cheap vs spending **** ton of money to have it professionally painted. People on this site get so wrapped up in paying top dollar for everything with these cars because we spent 30-40k on them. These cars are not high end Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, etc.. You can budget buy quite a bit for these cars that will look, sound, and perform better than the overpriced parts that most choose on this site.
Nice job on the car again.

Fort hood is cool! I worked there selling the wax for a bit...do not let them spray that car, I could only imagine what it will do to the plasti dip. I think plastidip is ok. It's cool you can peel it off, it's inexpensive & you have a lot of color options. What about the heat of TX though? Could it melt? How does it hold up with rocks hitting it!? I don't know much about it, but I am thinking about plastidipping my badges.
It looks good!! I have the graphite color & I like the factory paint better, but to each their own & I do like the idea of changing the color maybe every year or so.
Whoever did it, did do a good job, I work at a dealership & have seen some awful plastidip jobs done. Have you thought about your next color? Or doing the wheels to match?

Thank you to those who support originality and understand true auto enthusiasm!! So far as heat and rocks and everyday wear and tear I will keep y'all updated. I only finished this weekend so every 90 days of so I will give an update on how the dip is holding up. I did do the work myself and it took 3 gallons of base, not sure how many coats it actually was. And yes I have already started contemplating my next color change but I want to wait at least 6 months to see how it holds up to the elements. Thanks a lot DeepRumble, and Vance67, the stock graphite was just too plain to me but like you said, to each his own and if you like it stick with it!!
