Question When it's so cold out your windows won't roll down.

I'm sure most of you living in warmer climates have never had this problem but here it often get's so cold the window's won't budge. In most vehicles this isn't that big a deal but I noticed the g37 cracks the window slightly every time you open and close the door. I remember reading something in the manual about damage occurring to something (headliner?) if your battery dies (preventing your window from automatically cracking) and you still open and close the door. At least ten times this winter my window has been frozen shut and I still get in and out, obviously. Doesn't seem like it's hurting anything but if that's the case then why the auto crack/re-close? Anyone have any thoughts on this?

It will eventually damage the weather stripping. That's about all I think it could do. Which is not good but it's repairable.
