Headlight painted for G37

Try to find some advices regrading to painting G37 headlight. I couldn't find any instructions or sample on how to do this properly without messing up your OEM headlight.
So any thoughts on this guys?

I'm not surprised you couldn't find it, it's hidden in the DIY section sticky and named "painted headlights"

Here you go, and while you're at it be sure to change your OEM lens, you can get those at The Retrofit Source Inc the coupe uses the TSX-R and the sedan the STi-R lens.

This was a kindly reminder to first run a search and check the DIY section.

Is it necessary to change the OEM lens and why? Can I reuse the OEM one after baking?

It's not *necessary* to change the OEM lens. Swapping the OEM for the TSX-R lens will give you a very sharp cutoff where the area your headlights illuminate stops. It will also give you better light transmission. The OEM lenses are fresnel lenses and are noticeably worse than the TSX-R lenses. Baking the headlights doesn't harm anything, as long as you remove the exterior harness first like the DIY says.

The reason we suggest it is that it's one of those "while you're in there" kind of things. It is a pain in the butt to open up headlights, and it makes sense to mod as many things as possible while you've got them open. But no, it's by no means required.

The lenses are also only $50, for the amount of improvement in light transmission and how much better they look inside the housing it's one of the best mods for the money you can do IMO.

And yes Anthony, you are now immortal

While we're on the topic of lense does anyone know if S2k lense will work? Reason I ask is because I have a set laying around already.

The only one I've ever heard being swapped in is the TSX-R lens for coupes and the STI-R lens for sedans. Respectively, lens diameters are 2.5" and 3". How big is the S2k lens?
