Painting Headlights

Hey everyone I need some suggestions. I plan on painting my headlights (along with some help from some people who have done it before). I need some suggestions on what paint scheme I should go with.

Debating what color I want to do the..
Housing - flat, matte or gloss black.
Foglight Reflection - chrome or black
Projector Shroud - chrome, platinum graphite (to match car), flat, matte or gloss black
The side strip will be wrapped with silver carbon fiber vinyl.

Also I want to upgrade the lens. If someone can link it that will be great. Any other suggestions/pictures/links will be appreciated also. I'm not going to do any iron man led's. Thank you in advance!

Currently how the front end looks.

When I painted my headlight I first painted it satin black, but somehow the contrast didn't look right to me up front. So a week later I resanded it and repainted it a grey metallic color and i couldn't be any happier. To me the color flows nicely to my IP color.

I also purchased a product called Renulite to freshen up my outside clear housing because mine started to haze up. It worked flawlessly and made my headlight look brand new again.

I bought my lenses from here: 2.5 TSX-R clear lenses
(2.5") TSX-R - Clear Lenses from The Retrofit Source Inc

I also purchased some butyl rubber glue from there to help seal up my headlight from all moisture.

Its been about almost a year and headlight still looks like the day I painted it.

The grey metallic from distance look almost complete black until you get a little closer and you can see the grey metallic in it.

Here some quick pics from my iphone

It takes a while, I'd allow a weekend just so you're not rushing to get it all back together. While you have them open be sure to replace the crappy OEM lens w/ the TSX lens (for coupe) or STiR lens (for sedan), much better cutoff, nice blue tint around edges and looks 10x better in the housing. You can get them at The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications

Mine took the whole weekend. I took my time and let the paint dry overnight before putting everything back together the next day. The TSX lens is a must since you have it opened already.

Looks good, can you post a pic of them close up, curious about how the signal looks wrapped! Thanks!

Nice job Andrew, looks like you really put some effort into the details and it paid off!
BTW, did you swap the lens too?

Looks good, i really want to wrap that orange signal piece, i just cant come to terms of cracking open the headlight especially when the housing is already black chrome.
